Built for wildlife and field photographers who need serious height and stability without the weight, the TR344L supports up to 60 lb while weighing just 4.3 lb. Carbon fiber legs with a maximum diameter of 34mm keep the tripod steady under heavy telephoto setups, while the aluminum alloy head minimizes weight without sacrificing strength.
The tripod's four-section legs use quarter-turn twist locks for fast deployment, and each leg locks independently at 24°, 50°, or 84° for uneven terrain or low-angle shooting. Folded length comes in at 23.8", and the tripod extends from a minimum height of 3.8" up to a full 71" — enough range for ground-level wildlife shots or eye-level shooting.
Rubber feet provide reliable traction on hard surfaces, and each foot conceals a stow-away metal spike for added grip on soft or uneven ground. A built-in bubble level helps you check for a level horizon before you start shooting.
The removable top plate connects to any tripod head, camera, lens, or optic compatible with a 3/8"-16 mount, and secures to the tripod head using six socket screws. For photographers running a video setup, the head also accepts the separately-available ProMediaGear TRBU75 75mm Tripod Leveling Base and TRB3475 75mm Tripod Bowl Insert, letting you use a compatible video head without needing to adjust the tripod legs to level out.
Three 1/4"-20 accessory threads are distributed along the sides of the head, each paired with anti-twist pin slots for securely mounting ProMediaGear accessories or any gear with a standard 1/4"-20 mount. The underside of the top plate also features an accessory loop that accommodates the included carabiner along with a separately-available ballast, such as a sandbag, for extra stability.
